Every company is shaped long before it is founded.
Before NovusSteel officially launched in 2022, years were spent learning what it actually takes to build and deliver structural steel projects—from engineering and estimating to project management, operations, client relationships, and delivery.
It wasn’t just about learning the work. It was about learning how to build a company.
The first North American client came through late-night calls from a home in Bangalore. There was no outside investment, no large office, and no shortcuts—just industry experience, persistence, and a commitment to doing exceptional work.

NovusSteel exists to redefine structural steel engineering through exceptional people, cutting-edge technology, and a culture of ownership.
It Started with One Belief
In 2017, Vinay recognized that great engineers were rarely limited by talent – they were often limited by the companies, systems, and opportunities around them.
That realization shaped a conviction that continues to guide NovusSteel Today:
Great companies are built through exceptional people, strong leadership, and relentless ownership - not geography.
Rather than building another detailing company, he set out to create the engineering partner he believed the industry deserved.
Today, NovusSteel is a team of more than 45 engineers and project professionals, supporting over 410 structural steel projects across North America in just four years.
NovusSteel was built on a simple principle: success is measured not by drawings delivered, but by helping fabricators win more work, fabricate more efficiently, and deliver successful projects in the field. Every estimate, model, connection, and detail exists to reduce risk, improve productivity, and support successful outcomes from bid to erection.

Jyoti Vinay, leads the financial strategy at NovusSteel Engineering ensuring the company scales with discipline, resilience, and a long-term perspective. Earlier she worked in Tata Consultancy Services. As NovusSteel grows, she focuses on building the financial and operational systems that enable sustainable growth without compromising execution quality.
She works closely with leadership to invest in the areas that create enduring advantage — exceptional people, technology platforms, automation, and strategic partnerships. Her role is not simply to manage costs, but to ensure every investment strengthens the company’s ability to scale and serve customers for the long term.

When Sandeep joined NovusSteel, one thing was clear — precision in steel detailing isn’t just about software, it’s about the people behind it. With 5+ years of experience in the industry, including a role where he led and managed a workforce of over 2,500 employees, he brought a rare, ground-level understanding of what it actually takes to build teams that perform. So that became the focus: finding people who genuinely care about getting the details right, not just filling seats.
Over time, that turned into something more structured — every role at NovusSteel now has its own training path, built so people don’t just start a job, they grow into it. It wasn’t about ticking a box. It was about making sure the person hired today is even better a year from now.
Today, that’s still what drives Sandeep — building teams where people are trusted to own their work, supported to get better at it, and proud of what they help NovusSteel deliver.
