Watson Fine Arts Center Expansion
Brownwood, Texas
The Watson Fine Arts Center expansion was developed to enhance performing arts education and provide students with modern, flexible spaces for creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression. The 25,190 square-foot addition introduces a new black box theater designed to support a wide range of performances, productions, and educational programs.
The expansion includes dedicated spaces such as a prop lab, scenery lab, storage areas, custom workshops, and support facilities that improve functionality and create an engaging learning environment for students and faculty. Designed to foster collaboration and hands-on learning, the facility serves as a hub for creative and performing arts education.
NovusSteel provided structural steel detailing services for this 500+ ton project, delivering detailed 3D models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication support for the structural steel package. Our scope also included the detailing of steel stair systems that support circulation and accessibility throughout the facility.
This project reflects our commitment to supporting educational and community-focused developments while delivering accurate, fabrication-ready steel detailing solutions for the North American market.
