UTSA Blanco Hall

Blanco Hall is a modern living-learning community developed to support UTSA’s growing student population through residential, educational, and collaborative spaces. The facility enhances student success by providing housing, study areas, and specialized learning environments that strengthen campus life and community engagement.

NovusSteel provided structural steel detailing services for the project, including 3D modeling, shop drawings, erection drawings, and continuous fabrication support. The project required extensive concrete to-steel coordination, including more than 4,000 embedded plates and perimeter embed coordination.

Our scope also included two steel stair towers, stamped stair engineering, material takeoffs, change order management, and ongoing shop and field support. Through site visits and direct collaboration with the client, fabricator, and installation teams, we supported the project through fabrication and final installation.
